New South American Office for Pionair
Introducing Pionair's New South American Office
Pionair is pleased to announce the appointment of Matusa Neves as our VP Leisure Sales South America.
We have made an investment into the South American market, opening a sales office in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, which coincides with the release of our first brochure in Portuguese to the Brazilian market.
This complements our North American sales office in Westport, Connecticut, headed by Catherine Herron-Mathews, VP Leisure Sales North America.
Our dedicated North and South American offices make Pionair easily accessible to those on the other side of the world. Catherine and Matusa are valuable members of the team providing sales support to our First Class Independent Travellers and luxury escorted group tours.

A Tribute to "Miss Lorraine"
It is with great sadness that we wish to advise that Pionair’s Financial Controller, Lorraine Swain passed away suddenly on Wednesday 10 September, 2008.
At her funeral, our Managing Director, Alistair Johnston, summed up all that Lorraine meant to us by retelling an old Maori legend, as words could not truly express the grief we felt. The Maori legend speaks about the lord of the forest Tane, who holds the heavens up separating Earth Mother from Sky Father. When faced with the loss of a powerful member the Maori people say that a mighty tree has fallen in the forest of Tane. We at Pionair have lost our own mighty tree.

Cargo First Flight
Introducing Pionair's Air Cargo Servce - Cargo First
Pionair's first Convair 580 palletized freight aircraft, VH-PDW begins service 13 November 2007, the first of Pionair's fleet of two Convair 580 freight aircraft departed on its inaugural flight from Launceston to Melbourne.
The second Convair 580 freighter, VH-PDX will be delivered and go into service early in 2008. The freighter aircraft are an addition to Pionair's fleet of 3 Convair 580 passenger aircraft.
Pionair's Convair freighter aircraft are available for charter and a key feature of these freighters is their great heavy lift capability and ability to carry overweight and oversize items.
