Pionair first started in 1991 based out of Queenstown, New Zealand as a flight-seeing company, focusing on adventure tourism. In 1993 Pionair purchased its first DC3 – AMS, a meticulously resorted DC3 airliner named Dulcie, adopting the same early 'pionairing' aviation spirit, when getting there was both extraordinary and fun.
Since then Pionair has grown from strength to strength, purchasing our first Convair 580 in 2003 allowing faster more comfortable travel, and expanding into the independent travel market offering tailormade luxury vacations for discerning clientele.
With aircraft capable of landing at more than 170 airports in Australia and New Zealand, and travel specialists tailoring vacations for discerning travellers, Pionair’s extensive network ensures we are offering our clients the very best at all times.
